保障航空旅客的《航空旅客法规》
The “Air Passenger Regulations” to protect air passengers

requires large airlines

如果乘客到达最终目的地的时间
to require passengers to arrive at their final destination

比预定时间迟3小时或更长时间
3 hours or more Compensate

航空公司须向受影响旅客
$400 to $1,000

赔偿400元至1,000元
for affected passengers.

至于较小型航空公司
For smaller airlines

(例如Swoop航空及Flair航空)
(such as Swoop Airlines and Flair Airlines),

赔偿金额介乎125元至500元
compensation amounts range from $ 125 to $ 500.

根据法规规定
Under the law,

航空公司不必为不受控制的因素
airlines are not required to compensate for delays or cancellations

例如恶劣天气或在例行维修检查以外
due to uncontrolled factors such as bad weather or mechanical failures

发现的机械故障而出现延误或取消作出赔偿
found outside of routine maintenance inspections.

加拿大交通局
The Canadian Transportation Agency

(Canadian Transportation Agency,CTA)表示
(CTA) said

航空公司预期从周日开始
airlines are expected to report details of flight accidents

在记录每次航班延误及取消的原因后
to Transport Canada after recording the reasons

须向加拿大交通局报告
for each flight delay

航班出现事故的详细资料
and cancellation from Sunday.

该局也表示
The bureau also said that

如果乘客向交通局投诉航班延误
if passengers complain to the transport bureau about flight delays,

有关航空公司必须证明
the airline concerned must prove why the flight involved

is not eligible for compensation.
